11/08/2007 This is Eric McHone and Hero working a the tree.

02/2007 This girl is Yadkin River Night Sky. She was raised here on the farm. She was sold to Ted Williams of Yadkin County and and now is owned by Flanoy Rollins of Flordia.

Blaster is DIRECTLY off Nt. Ch. "PR" Merchant's Tree Blaster by A.I. breeding. Blaster's dam is the Zip II female. Zip II is off of Sackett Jr. and White Oak Zip. White Oak Zip is a full sister to Merchant's Tree Blaster. (And Turkey Creek Grace.) This makes Yadkin River Blaster 3/4's Merchant's Tree Blaster. Blaster is a nice, blanket backed, 80 lb. male. Unfortunately Blaster is now sterile. He now makes his home with Jonny and Cindy Thompson in Virginia.
05/07/2006 This little butterball is the newest addition to Bill Foote's kennel. I think he called her "Skinny". HA! She's off Bill's Heidi female and a full brother to Jim Meeks Curt dog owned by a gentleman in Ohio.
This fine hound is Yadkin River Chub. He is pictured several times on this webpage. He was a regular at www.littlemtnkennel.com I am sorry to say that Chub passed away in 2006. I loved hunting this dog and I know he will be missed!

Deseased: This is Nt. Ch. Ch. "PR" Yadkin River Dixie Chick. (Not to be confused with the original Dixie.) Dixie made Nt. Ch. with 3 first place wins and qualified for the World as a 2 year old. She won her cast and took second money in the only money hunt she was entered. She is a coondog from the word "GO" ! In this photo she was about 6 months old and she had a coon up this tree in the back yard. She is an extremely intense tree dog and and very accurate. She has had two litters of puppies off Kevin Bowman's male "PR" Issac's Yadkin River Tree Bear (Who is a littermate brother to Chris Leigh's "PR" Yadkin River Bear). Jack kept a female out of the second litter and is pictured below, Cracker. Dixie Chick is out of Nt. Ch Chico II The Duce, and Dual Grand "PR" Yadkin River Bunnie.

This is 'PR' Yadkin River Cracker. This photo is of her when she was 3 and 1/2 months old. She is treed on a walnut tree in our front yard. Jack had turned a caged coon loose for her and he is in the top of this tree. The blue thing is the bottom of a bluebird house. Just in case you were wondering. Cracker lives with Rodney Hubbard in Virginia and is throwing some nice young dogs.
This is a old photo too. (1999) This represents 4 gererations of Yadkin River dogs. It is from the left, Jeff (Indy) Jackson with the late Ch. PR Yadkin River Dixie, and Dual Grand "PR" Yadkin River Bug (a daughter to Dixie). Jack Dobson with UKC Gr. Nt. Ch., Gr Ch, "PR" Yadkin River Chub (grandson). Jeanne Dobson with Dual Grand "PR" Yadkin River Sadiemae (great-granddaughter). Along with some of our earning that year. We are on the banks of the Yadkin River in Yadkin County of course!
This is Ralph Williams, Jack Dobson and the grand dame, Ch. "PR" Yadkin River Dixie. Dixie is currently listed as # 3 in UKC's Historical Reproducing Females.
The dog on the tree is the great "PR" Yadkin River Chico who was the hunting partner of Mr. Jim Meeks. Chico and the above female, Dixie, were bred 9 times and 8 live litter were produced. Why so many times? Because it worked. All you had to do is give the pup a chance.
This is Grand Nite Champion PKA Champion PR Yadkin River Bug. She is one coondog deluxe. Bug is a Dixie X Chico female. She is currently owned by Mr. Tony Ray of Roanoke River Kennels.
This is Gr. Ch. Nt. Ch. "PR" Yadkin River Sadiemae. I really thought the world of this little female. She is off Yadkin River Tater (now at Blazin Oaks Kennel) and the "PR" Yadkin River Mouse female. I sold her to G.L Ingles out near the coast of North Carolina. Last I heard she was in Fl. I would be interested in how she's progressed. If you know of this dog please contact me.
'PR" Stan's Sailor Jr. He was the 1964 World Champion
